The most anticipated local business shop front window display competition is back!

Calling all local businesses with a street frontage to join the Coastal Twist Festival window display competition!

We’re thrilled to announce the return of the Coastal Twist Festival, a whole seven days of jam-packed surprises, with bold, vibrant and profound fun and learnings with LGBTQIA+Arts & Culture from across our region – last year attracting more than 9,500 people.

Our theme for this year’s Coastal Twist Festival is Radical Radiance – a powerful reminder that when we respect our differences and work together, we build a stronger, more joyful community for everyone, making a happier, healthier, positive and more welcoming Central Coast.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Have a shop window facing the street and dress it up in your own unique rainbow, glitter, vibrant, big, bold and beautiful way from Monday 28th Sept – Monday 5th October 2026

KEY DATES:

1. Registrations close: Friday 18th September 2026
2. Dress your street facing window display with your best rainbow/glitter or in the theme of Rise and Shine from Monday 28th Sept – Monday 5th October 2026. Judging will take place on Wednesday 30th September 2026 by our independent judges.
3. Email photos of your shop front display to festival@coastaltwist.org.au by Monday 28th September
4. Winners announced: at Carnie Fair Day on Sunday 4th October and contacted by Friday 16th October via email.

JUDGING:

The competition will be judged on creative merit, design and your relevance to the theme being “Radical Radiance” or Rainbow. The Judging is undertaken by an external team of three independent Central Coast Artists and the decision is theirs alone and not connected to the Coastal Twist festival team.

Community Partners and Sponsors are welcome to participate in the competition and be in the running.
